story at the office. i was given a new portfolio. very interesting yet challenging one. well, at least i don't need to do something that i'm not fond of, any longer. will do my best at the new task, of course.
speaking of new, i will be fly-wiring now. thanks to mr bunny, hehehe... gazzelle has a new partner in crime: nike lunarelite+ 5. very supportive and stable these sweet-coloured pair of racers. yet to try them in action. will prolly use them tomorrow morning at city day relay, team with the bunny and luqman. us the q-rox will rock u, hahaha!!!
topics in fly fm's pagi show are getting interesting. the other day was how or ways to distract from getting scold or get caught in "cepu-emas" questions or something like that. its cool when one of the listeners said that everytime the mother ask her when is she getting married, she distracted the mother by telling her that there's a sale coming at habib jewel and the mother actually bought it! very cheeky, indeed :P. and today's topic was another interesting one. the topic: is it ok to lie to your partner or spouse? myself, i wouldn't lie. i don't even like to lie after i was caught in a dark history when i started to lie. i've promised myself not to do it to anyone ever again. so back to the pagi show's topic, a lot of listeners saying that it is ok to lie to prevent from any arguments. i wouldn't say that i 100% disagree. what is ok is not to lie but try to twist the words. do not deny but try to say the truth but in a delicate way. one example from one of the listeners is when the gf asked him, "do i look fat in this dress?". and he said no. as for me, from a girl's point of view, this is an act of dishonesty. don't lie and say no, if she actually looked fat in the dress. the best way is by saying something like, "why not try the other dress and we'll compare and see which one is better on you". just my opinion.
nway, please enjoy this video cos i do. thanks to my anything-korean-obsessed sister :P
wonder why in just a few days in the new decade of 21st century, i've heard plenty of parties donned and planned to go for the 70's theme. perhaps it's cool? i would prefer even earlier years theme, the 50's or the 60's. they're just classic. just like the make-up brand i use, benefitand my grandma's classic baju kurung i wore on eid 2007. very jackie o ;)
the english is getting more lousy. and the surroundings are not helping either! daily conversation in malay. some bad broken english receptionist at the entertainment centre. rojak speaking customer service on the phone. help me please!
some funny incidents i've encountered but are tiny bit annoying and in need of careful and full attention:
steak is NOT stick and snack is NOT snake. would really appreciate if all can pronounce them in a proper way. tq *smiley face*
20km in 2 hours n 18 minutes. great result i must admit. but it causes my bad knee... prolly an emergency leave tomorrow? :P.
btw, new balance pacesetters 30km 2010 is the farthest run i've joined to date. i participated in the 20km category. the route? pretty similar to that of malakoff run in dec 2009. lots of hills. but we've survived! that's the most important thing, right? and i've signed up for a half marathon in feb and a 15km run in march. prolly another half marathon in late march. full marathon? not ready, still. hehehe...
*miss hunny and her first 20km finisher's medal. very proud ;)
thinking of buying a new pair of running shoes, though. hunnystar is no longer capable to go long distance and i can't depend on just gazelle if i were to join plenty more runs this year. am eyeing onnike lunarracer+ 2. real cool gear. will try to sort the financial crisis out and see whether can fit the shoes in my very-important-and-very-urgent-stuff-to-buy list :P
p/s: to mr triple a... chill k. don't worry. everything happened for a reason. and as i said, u gonna get even better stuff in return *wink*wink*
saucony pacemakers network run 2010: the first run on the first day of the year. the first run on friday morning. the first run at lake garden. the first run that includes climbing up stairs as high as 8-storey tall building (x3). the first run that i have to wait for the bunny to finish (ladies 3 loops while men 4 loops). the first run that i ended up in top 10 for women under 34 category (out of 20-ish :P). the first run of many more runs to come in 2010 (most definitely!).
