yesterday marked the day i've completed my first full marathon. yes, FULL! am no longer a full marathon virgin *wink*wink*. but was a very much soaking wet marathoner, from the rain and the sweat, of course :P
about the run, it took me 6 hours and 29 minutes to complete a total distance of 42.195km (see here) route , which was horrendous due to few factors. it was raining heavily when the marshal flagged off the full marathon runners at exactly 5am in the morning. my toes wrinkled, there were some blisters at some unimaginable parts, again! and to add, the heaty late sunday morning... burnt by the sun :(
but the experience was priceless. this was the only running event i've participated that deserves 2 thumbs up. the smoothness of the event from the distribution of the race kit to the friendliness of the volunteers at water stations beats everything. the only bad point i would say is the attentiveness of some officials namely dbkl officers and traffic police at some checkpoints and main roads. there were a few that made some poor judgments that caused inconvenience to the runners and even caused a life. dear organisers, please remember to beef up the priority on the safety of the participants. it's so crucial...
oh btw, the bunny ask me to write this post asap. he's one of the silent readers :P. sorry and thanks dear ;)
