zwilling

couldn't imagine myself to splurge over some cookware. but i did. bought a zwilling joy 3pcs cookware set from the maker of the finest kitchen knife last weekend. they cost dearly. yet to try but i hope they deliver what they're supposed to. and i hope that i will have the courage to put the chef hat on again very soon. well, i'm just being plain lazy right now (sorry mr bunny :P).

so nway, am in the midst of preparing myself for the upcoming run in exactly a month time. it's a 21km run across the penang bridge, the third longest bridge in the world. registered for the run last year but didn't participate as i fell pregnant. will try my best to spend some time to train as this is the first run after over a year of no-run-only-walk daily routine. wish me luck!

yes, i bake. i've recently set up a little baking business, hunny bakes and alhamdulillah, the response is good and the cakes are well-received ;). am in the midst of updating a new blog hunny bakes, where everyone can have a look at the sweet stuff that i made and order if they want to :)

will put some photos very soon (still trying to fit in some time to do so :P). well, here are some sneak peeks. and please, don't drool over your keyboard *wink*wink*

*clockwise from top right: dark chocolate brownies, real butter rainbow cake, carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, hunny bakes' cute bunny ;)

tough

confinement period is tough. wish i had a full time confinement lady to take care of me. but it was a little too late. will have to put this wish in the top list for the next round :P.

so nway, the worst nightmare is almost over. am almost free. can smell the fresh air of freedom. simply lovely.

how much is miss the time i cruised with ryan anytime i felt like driving to nowhere. awesome!

how much i miss running, but still have to wait a few more months before i can go full force on exercising. can't wait!

and most importantly, how much i miss shopping, actual shopping that is. i've been doing a lot of online shopping during the confinement (sorry mr bunny :P) but it just not the same. well, at least i have the reason to go all out on shopping since eid is coming *wink*wink*

love

it's hunny and bunny's first wedding anniversary. although we're stuck in-house, well, just me that is :( but we are very thankful to the Almighty for the best gift any couple would ask for. our arina is just the best. just like this song, the best thing by arina and her band mocca...

...and it's a girl! hunny bunny's jr is a she. what a splendid surprise!

introducing, nur arina azrul azam, our almost wedding anniversary gift. well, she came out a week earlier from her parents' wedding anniversary date, which is june 6.

*my lovely baby girl

alhamdulillah, it was a smooth delivery eventhough we didn't expect the baby to be delivered on the day (long story :P). we're just happy and thrill with the arrival.

arina, mummy and ayah love you so much, muah!

writing

u know what? i miss writing. in my current condition, i can't really think straight. i've got a lot of things in my mind, which leads to me having the hardest time to spare some alone moment writing quality piece or even writing some short entries, to make it worse. even at work, i can't really write a good, simple e-mail announcement or proposal paper. i miss the time when people and especially the boss complimented the composition by yours truly. we'll just have to wait for the comeback then ;)

but not all is lost. i've managed to squeeze some very limited time in my schedule baking, although the standard of the products are a bit hay-wired. i dunno why, but i used the same ingredients everytime, all the times. perhaps i could have under or over estimated the time taken in the oven. as i said, i've got a lot of things in my mind :P.

btw, i'm currently on leave. took an early leave so that i can have some me time before everything changes. not that i'm not happy about it. i'm thrilled and excited, very much. just need the time to rest and relax, preparing for the big day, which is anytime soon. wish me luck!

again

just came back from singapore. again? was planning for a city breakaway. just the two of us hunny and bunny. the most affordable ones was singapore, after cost calculation between a few holiday hotspots has been prepared ;). plus, singapore was chosen since the bunny gonna do his first official run of the year, finally :P

a little bit about the short holiday. it was very exhausting but real fun and i enjoyed every bit of it including one part where i've become very clumsy. thank god it was 5am in the morning and everyone was fast asleep, hehehe...

p/s: backdated entry, yet again :P

remember

this is a backdated entry. but i can't really remember what i did in march. all i know is that i was told to cut down on my sugar intake. that is really the hardest thing to do :P. but i'll managed. i'm a big girl now, literally, hehehe...

versus

kelantan vs terengganu. not being bias but kelantan is and will always be the winner. why? just because ;)

kelantan has always been very colourful. the people, the culture and even the food. both states famous for some of unique cuisines. they have the similar dishes but with some differences but very major. the main difference you could spot is the colour.

kelantan love to use red/pinkish coloured materials: nasi dagang with red rice, ketupat sotong with red gravy, and lompat tikam with the addition of pink pulut while the other state prefer bland and dull looking meal (again, not being bias :P). and the best thing is kelantan's cuisine taste much better. and that's what makes kelantan's the best. i rest my case ;)

print

am always a fan of prints, especially those bold and vibrant-coloured ones. my little dresses, which i use as tops over jeans, have really cool prints. love them to bits.

the most favourite textile designer would be finnish's marimekko. just adore their products. only managed (or afford? :P) to buy one, a shoulder bag, which i worn in the picture below, circa 2005:
*unikko shoulder bag in blue

however, marimekko is not a big thing here. i think there's just one retailer that carry their product and i supposed they would definitely come with skyrocketed price tag. so i might have to settle with ikea's. they make great prints too (scandinavians, they think alike i must say) only that theirs are over-used and over-exposed. the prints are just all over. i'd prefer originality. it beats everything, right?

annoyed

prolly the hormone, i'm easily annoyed this days. can't stand people who nags, can't stand selfish bast*** & bit** (pardon my french :P) and i can't even stand silly and common grammar error. for god sake it's NOT that's mean. it's that means! how many times do i have to correct that in my head whenever people uttered that phrase? i'm no english teacher but it's simply annoying and can't be forgiven. learn people, learn!

passenger

traveling long distance on a car? no more as the back seat passenger. the worst 12-hour experience ever :P.

acquaintance

ac·quaint·ance /əˈkwāntns/ listen
  1. a person's knowledge or experience of something
    • the students had little acquaintance with the language
  2. one's slight knowledge of or friendship with someone
    • I renewed my acquaintance with Herbert
    • most men of her acquaintance were in uniform now
  3. a person one knows slightly, but who is not a close friend
    • a wide circle of friends and acquaintances
  4. such people considered collectively
    • his extensive acquaintance included Oscar Wilde and Yeats

*extracted from google english dictionary

referring to point no 3, should i accept facebook's friend requests from acquaintances, especially those you've only heard the name of or met online and never in real life? i have the tendency to be cruel of rejecting such requests cos for me, facebook is a friends network site. and only real friends are in my list.  hence, it is not wrong for me to act such a way, right? so, please don't judge. i'm not arrogant. it's just me. i just wanna keep everything nice, clean and simple. peace!

extra

life not easy when u have to think about all those extra charges. with the addition of lengthy process flows. everything is not simple. there are too many options without any notifications. why can't it be simplified. miss the old days where everything is straight forward.

food. dining away from home. the tax. isn't it annoying? with the increment of 20% from previous years, i.e. from 5% to 6%, isn't it more troublesome? to make it worse, the publish rate is before tax. can't these f&b guys show the actual amount to be paid? example in the uk. even singapore does it. it's easier. this country's govt always comparing things with neighbouring countries but only when it benefits them. but never when it comes to the public. for instance, the hike of fuel price (not being cliche but just have to mention this subject as an example). they are comparing with other countries that our fuel price is still the lowest across the region. BUT, have they ever mentioned that the fuel price is low because our current salary market index is also one of the lowest comparing to thailand and singapore. they have never, right? why would they? they're good manipulators, aren't they? be wise. think...
